Job Description The Quality Manager, a member of the Plant Leadership Team, will lead the planning and directing of quality activities of the Reflective Business, in North America. The Quality manager will partner with the technical teams to formulate, recommend and direct research and development programs to meet organization needs for the quality improvement and cost reduction of both existing and new products and processes. This person will facilitate the transfer of technologies throughout various areas of the organization, evaluate new products, review and analyze technical literature and stay current on related issues and technical data. Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional project teams & collaborate with all functions, levels of the organization, customers and suppliers. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Interact regularly with engineering, manufacturing and commercial functions to establish quality standards for raw material, work in process and finished products and ensure sufficient process capability to consistently meet those standards. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications. Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and ELS tools and analyses. Lead and/or participate in quality process improvement projects. Deliver short-term and-long term results in order to develop and maintain the organization's credibility with the business and build opportunities for the function to add greater value to the business. Use business trends and customer needs to develop and lead a divisional strategy, while crafting a team operating plan with actionable goals to accelerate competitive advantage. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Oversee the document control system by processing document change requests and working with the divisional team to develop new documents. Create, review, and approve changes to the quality system process to devise best practices and reduce process variation. Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with quality assurance programs, policies, processes, and procedures under ISO 9001. Report on quality system metrics and present to site and division leadership and audit team. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree required:
Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Polymer/Materials Science or related technical field. Skills &
Experience:

years related experience needed. Demonstrated experience crafting policies, procedures, process, programs, and practices under ISO 9001 (or a similar quality system) to ensure continuous improvement, conformance and effectiveness of Quality System. Demonstrated experience with effective Corrective and Preventive Action processes to ensure process improvement and auditing results. Able to quickly acclimate to complex organization:
build and develop functional relationships, gain knowledge of products, develop analytical and reporting skills, learn multiple computer-based quality, inventory, and internet/ intranet applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent auditing and statistical skills Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and function specific software. Excellent attention to detail & organizational skills. Excellent technical aptitude. Strong ability to lead, train and coach a diverse team of individuals performing a variety of tasks. Strong customer focus necessary. Familiarity with ELS Operating Principles. Ability to think ahead, anticipate problems, make decisions and take appropriate action. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Quality ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
