You will engage with the community while getting children excited about reading.
This is a great opportunity for those who have educational training or experience working with children ages 3-8 and are interested in gaining public library experience.
SCHEDULE:
This is a temporary position for approximately 9 weeks, starting the week of May 27 through the week of July 22.
Position is 12 hours per week with a preferred schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9am to 1pm.
SALARY:
$16.
22 per hour PURPOSE The Youth Summer Outreach Assistant works with an energetic, creative, and collaborative team dedicated to providing high quality services to children from birth through 6th grade and their parents, teachers, and caregivers.
The Summer Outreach Assistant presents storytimes at childcare centers, summer schools, and other community locations; assists with in-house programming; and staffs the summer reading desk.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Storytime presentation at outreach venues--35% Assisting with in-house programming --35% Staffing the summer reading desk--30% JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Present storytimes for preschoolers and early elementary school students Assists staff at in-house events Assist patrons at the public service desk with the summer reading program Prepares and organizes materials for the outreach and in-house summer reading programs EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma preferred.
Experience with or receiving educational training for children ages 3-8 required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
