Best (the most highly respected insurance rating organization) is seeking a responsible and hard working individual to join our Claim Department.
We are a mid-sized, profitable and expanding nonstandard automobile insurance company doing business in Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Texas soon.
The position is located in Mount Prospect, IL.
Job Description Monitor, evaluate and manage claim staff, workflow, workload, and service levels to ensure effectiveness and efficiency within a claim team Minimize or eliminate Department of Insurance regulatory complaints Reduce loss costs by developing processes that ensure favorable claim settlements Measure key performance indicators and hold individuals accountable for performance within their respective scope of responsibility Oversee, train and provide guidance to claim adjusters to ensure they meet or exceed customer service objectives, comply with regulatory requirements and control claim costs Hands on involvement in the evaluation, processing, and authorizing claims Identify high priority cases and keep them on a close diary Negotiate claims and reach positive claim resolutions promptly Identify and evaluate process improvement opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency Answer and respond to attorney, regulatory, producer and consumer inquiries Ability to work with others and build relationships with claim staff, supervisors, and managers within the Claim Department Maintain an effective and organized operation Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher level of education Non-Standard Automobile insurance experience a plus Ability to expeditiously and accurately assess claim exposure and cost effectively settle automobile claims Ability to evaluate insurance coverage issues Knowledge of Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas claim practices a plus Bilingual Spanish is a plus Minimum 3 years of prior or similar work experience Excellent customer service skills and the ability to identify potential fast track claims Experience negotiating with outside attorneys or pro se litigants either professionally or personally Proficiency with technology Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as needed Excellent oral and written communication skills A responsible and conscientious nature Superior coverage and liability analysis and confirmation skills Problem solving aptitude Attention to detail and excellent quality of work Great organizational skills The Position Full Time - M-F 8am-5pm Competitive Salary 401K - with company contribution up to 6% of salary Attractive Health insurance plans - Blue Cross Blue Shield Care PPO, HMO or HSA Discounted Individual Vision and Dental Plans Casual Dress Holiday Pay PTO Company paid lunches, outings, and more For more information about American Freedom please visit our webpage - www.
