Reporting to the Lab Manager, the Materials Engineer is responsible for supporting all Littelfuse business functions by performing failure analyses as well as testing materials and circuit protection devices in order to document results and issue the final report. The Materials Engineer will also directs lab technician(s).
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent service to all customers of the lab in timely fashion.
- Maintain safety procedures and lab cleanliness.
- Collaborate with Reliability and New Product Development team(s) on various projects.
- Communicate with associates at other lab locations.
- Maintain equipment.
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Materials Engineering or related field and 5 years experience in Materials Lab OR Ph.D in Materials Engineering or related field and 1 year of experience in Materials Lab.
- Solid understanding of fundamental characteristics, production processes and materials of all Littelfuse products.
- Data collection and interpretation.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good analytic ability.
- Computer literate.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
